Launch repeatable campaigns from a short brief | Timestripe

A campaign brief is usually short. Audience, format, launch date, and not much else, because everyone involved has run one of these before and the shape is assumed rather than written down.

The shape is written down, though, in the last campaign's board. Ask your agent to reuse it and to schedule the new one backwards from the launch date.

What the agent starts with

The agent has a three-line brief and the board from the previous campaign, with its six stages, its tasks and the gaps between them.

The gaps are the part worth copying. The board shows that the teaser email went out three weeks before launch, the announcement two weeks before and the reminder one week before, and none of that is written anywhere as a rule. It is only visible as the distance between dates.

The prompt

Copied

The last paragraph is the one that earns its place. Scheduling backwards from a launch date always produces something that does not fit, and an agent left to its own judgement will quietly shorten whichever task looks least important.

What comes back

A board called Webinar — Operations, September opens with the playbook's six stages, filled with dated tasks for the landing page, creative, promotion and follow-up. One conflict comes back flagged. Carrying the playbook's three-week promotion runway across to a launch four weeks out puts the teaser email's creative work in the week before last, which is to say in the past.

Nothing was compressed to hide that. The rest of the plan fits, and the choice between a shorter runway and a later launch is left open.
