It was entered into the main competition section at the 77th Venice International Film Festival, becoming the first Indian film since Monsoon Wedding (2001) to compete at the festival. At Venice, the film won FIPRESCI International Critics Prize presented by the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI, short for Federation Internationale de la Presse Cinematographique) and the Best Screenplay award. It was also screened at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival, where it was named a winner of the Amplify Voices Award. Netflix acquired the distribution rights of the film and it was released through the streaming platform on 30 April 2021.

The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 10, 2020, before having its Mexican release on October 22, 2020. The film was met with mixed to negative reviews by both critics and audiences worldwide, particularly for the way it portrays social tensions between upper and lower classes in Mexico as a darker-skinned underclass attack against a lighter-skinned elite.

It was subsequently screened and won awards at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and holds the record for the most award in the main competition of the festival taking home Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actress.

Malmkrog is a 2020 internationally co-produced drama film directed by Cristi Puiu.
Set in turn-of-the-20th-century Transylvania, at the snowy hillside manor of a blithe aristocrat named Nikolai (Frédéric Schulz-Richard), the film follows for nearly the entirety of its 200 minutes a series of winding conversations between a group of bourgeois elite—among them a Russian general's wife (Diana Sakalauskaité), a devout young Christian girl (Marina Palii), a Franco-Russian nobleman (Ugo Broussot), and a middle-aged woman (Agathe Bosch) whose pessimistic worldview seems to embody the essence of Solovyov's book.

Typical of many Tsai Ming-liang films, Days is minimalist, slowly paced, and features little dialogue, without subtitles. Lee Kang-sheng plays Kang, and Non is portrayed by Anong Houngheuangsy, a Laotian immigrant to Thailand in his first film role.

Nolan took more than five years to write the screenplay after deliberating about Tenet's central ideas for over a decade. Pre-production began in late 2018, casting took place in March 2019, and principal photography lasted six months, from May to November, in Denmark, Estonia, India, Italy, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema shot on 65 mm film and IMAX. Scenes of time manipulation were filmed both backwards and forwards. Over one hundred vessels and thousands of extras were used.
